2012: Our First Year In Review

ImageWow, we can’t believe a year has passed since we first began our adventure with Where Roses Bloom. Just recently, on January 5th, we celebrated our first birthday of the day when we came together and decided that we were ready to embark on this crazy ride. Where Roses Bloom has already grown into something that we could have never imagined, and we honestly can’t wait to see what the next year holds. We’ve enjoyed reminiscing on all of our fun endeavors that 2012 held for us. Take a look back at some of our favorite moments with Where Roses Bloom’s first year.

1: January- Where Roses Bloom’s site launches
2: February- Our trip to Springfield & St. Louis
3: March- A vintage-inspired garden
4: April- Flavor-infused summertime teas
5: May- Time in the studio
6: June- A month of polka dots with pants & hand-painted plates
7: July- What we wore on the 4th of July
8: August- Travel kits
9: September- Homemade dog treats
10: October- Painted lyric curtains
11: November- A flannel friendsgiving
12: December- Our etsy store opens // check it out here!

Thanks for being a special part of our first year. We can’t wait to share many more exciting years with you!

A Vintage Dream Has Come True- Our Etsy Store Opens!

WRB_INSTAGRAM_PROMOWe have been anticipating this day for so long! Over 11 months ago, Where Roses Bloom was created. Since then we have dedicated countless hours to this crazy dream of ours- hundreds of stops at stores and flea markets to purchase vintage one-of-a-kind pieces, hundreds of hours of meetings & design, but most of all, countless hours of praying for this dream.

The day is finally here. We are so excited to tell you the news! Today is the day that our very first part of our big adventure starts- we’ve launched our Etsy store! We are so excited to list many of the items we’ve found along the way & hope that you’ll find something that suits your fancy!

Welcome, friends, we hope that you enjoy Where Roses Bloom as much as we do.

All of our love,
Rosemary & Bethany Rose

What We Wore: In Downtown Nashville

 Image

We have been working extremely hard the past few months branding our vision and making goals for ourselves. We took a few hours after our meeting on Monday to enjoy the beautiful scenery our city holds. We can’t wait to share with you our little secret! In the meantime, check out a few of our favorite pictures we took on our break in the city.

Boots are a favorite part of our wardrobe for fall. We love that there’s so many ways to wear them!

Bright colors are a fun way to transition your wardrobe from summer into fall. All you have to do is just add a few layers! It’s also fun to pair up old jewelry with new pieces, don’t you think?

DIY: Travel Kits

Do It Yourself: Travel Kits

With adventure awaiting what could be more perfect than a unique & fun travel kit to tote all of the necessities.  It’s a simple project & the best thing is most of the materials you can find in your house.

Here are some of the materials we used, but you can really add your own personal touch to creating your own travel kit.  The possibilities are endless!

Materials:

  • Pencil case (we got ours from Walmart for only $1!)
  • puffy paint
  • magazines, maps, pictures, scrap paper or fabric
  • tape
  • glue
  • ribbon
  • permanent marker

Rosemary used puffy paint to create patterns on her travel kit & created an inside backing repurposing an old map.

I stitched clouds cut out from leftover fabric on the backside of the kit & created a handle by tying knots in ribbon until it was large enough to fit around my wrist.

I used pictures from a magazine cut into stripes for the backing of the travel kit & wrote ‘Adventure Awaits’ with permanent marker on the front.

There you have it… your very own travel kit!

Happy travels to y’all! Paint, tape & create to your hearts content!

Love,

Bethany Rose & Rosemary
